D – Decorations (eg. Speleothems, rock or ice forms etc.)

Entries
• Images will be accepted in digital form only.
• They must be the photographers own work.
• The photographer does not need to attend the conference to enter and entry is restricted to ASF members.
• A maximum of 3 images per category will be accepted per photographer.
• Images entered must not have been awarded a place in a previous ASF Conference photo competition.
• Photographers can submit images depicting any aspects of caving, caves and features.
• Entries maybe submitted no later than the first day of the conference, though preferably in advance.
• It is planned to have the digital images in a slideshow during the conference, the photographers name will not be declared during these slideshows.
• By entering the photographic competition, entrants agree to allow their image/s to be published with acknowledgement in “Caves Australia”, on the ASF website (low resolution) and the conference proceedings.
• Images will not be used for any other purpose without express permission of the photographer.
• Copyright remains the property of the photographer.

Digital Image requirements
• Digital images are to be in JPG format, with each file less than 1.5MB in size.
• Ideal image resolution is 1920W x 1080H.
• Each image is to be given a file name which indicates the Category to be entered, the photographer’s initials and short image title.
  e.g. A-GKS-Fred abseiling in Mammoth – Jenolan.jpg. Where A is the Category, GKS is photographers initials, Fred abseiling etc……. is the image title.
• Images may be digitally enhanced but must remain realistic. Enhancement may include changes to the image contrast, brightness, sharpness, colour balance and cropping.
• Images can not be a composite of images from different locations.

Entry Fee
• Entries submitted will be at the rate of $3 per image.
• If the entrant is attending the conference, fees may be paid on arrival. Otherwise, you may make a direct deposit to:
  Account name: ASF Ningaloo 2015, BSB: 062 594, Account number: 1014 9548, quoting as the reference your surname followed by photos (e.g. Andersonphotos).

Judging
• Competition judging will be by peoples choice.
• Each conference attendee will be able to vote once.
• Votes will be tallied and awards presented during the conference closing function.
• If there is a draw in any category, the conference photo competition organiser and convener will decide the winner.
• The competition organiser’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Where to send digital images and information
• Entries can be emailed, mailed or supplied via cloud based storage, it is your responsibility to ensure the files are received by the organisers, we will not spend days chasing photos you think you put up on dropbox.
• Images mailed to the organiser must arrive in WA no later than Friday 12th June, or else they may sit in the PO box until after the conference!
• Make sure your name and contact details including, phone and email are included as a text/.doc file with your entries.
